In this period of COVID-19 pandemic, we are threatened not only by health consequences, but also by economic, social and educational consequences. In order to reduce the risk of infection, the educational system in our country is currently conducted online from home conditions. Unfortunately, these home conditions are not the same for everyone, and many students will not be able to attend online classes due to lack of a suitable device, internet or something else.
The Center for Civic Initiative works with great commitment to help in all spheres in our country. This time, a tablet – devices were donated to 30 students from the Municipality of Prilep and another 4 for students from the Municipality of Dolneni who are of socio-economic endangered character with a special focus on Roma, ie. students who do not have appropriate devices for attending online classes.
This activity was part of the project “Actions against gender-based violence in Roma and other disadventaged communities phase II” funded by the Federal Office for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
