The lawyer and the family therapist conducted 12 informative meetings with families on subject gender-based and domestic violence. These meetings are within the project “Actions against gender-based violence in Roma and other disadvantaged communities” financed by the German Embassy in Skopje.
There were total of 12 thematic workshops, 6 within the Municipality of Prilep and 6 in Municipality of Dolneni. Within this process there were 470 included participants, both women and man from the community. They received information, relevant to make some changes in their understanding of the gender-based violence.
At the same time, the participants were informed about the existing legal framework in the country for prevention of domestic violence, forms of domestic violence and the institutions responsible for dealing with legal issues of domestic violence.
