In the first phase of the project “Joint Forces for Common Interests” financed by the European Union, 12 grants for mentoring have been given. The mentor organizations that have been selected, together with the partner organizations have initiated support to the process of implementation of the awarded grants. The process of supporting has been implemented through frequent meetings and monitoring of the activities, support in the preparation of documents and contact with the municipality.

The mentor organizations have organized on spot coaching to the granted organizations in order to increase their capacities in the field of how to provide services to members, how to represent members, including organisational issues such as personnel management, finances, strategic planning, etc. During the implementation process, the mentors have also supported the granted organizations in financial management especially following the EU regulations for financial management. The mentors have also transferred the knowledge that they have received in advocacy issues fact-finding and conflict resolution. This support has influenced the implementation of the activities.
