General objective::
Institutions contribute to the reduction and prevention of recidivism through rehabilitation, reintegration and social inclusion of convicted persons and persons who have servedprisonterm previously.
Specific objectives::
– Improved post-penal practices for rehabilitation, reintegration and resocialization of convicted persons.
– – Encouraged citizens to stop the tradition of branding former convicts.
Planned activities::
– Creating an inter-institutional network for support of convicted persons and ex-convicts and their families.
– Strengthening the cooperation with the Ministry of Justice – Directorate for execution of sanctions.
– Development of a programme for reintegration, rehabilitation and resocialization of convicted persons.
– Piloting the programme for reintegration, rehabilitation and resocialization of convicted persons.
– Expanding the opportunities for work engagement inPrison Prilep.
– Equipping a locksmith workshop and IT training in Prison Prilep.
– Development of a long-term plan for expansion of production possibilities.
– Encouraging companies to accept previously convicted persons as a workforce.
– Campaign to raise awareness that it is important to include convicted persons who have already served their sentence, in society.
