In the year when Center for Civic Initiative celebrates 20 years of successful work, a list of activities were realized for marking this period, such as revision of their own work and documents. This year three special meetings with constituents were organized for the three programs of CCI: Human Rights and Democracy, Development of NGO sector and Improvement of the Work of the Public Administration. In addition on these meetings were reviewed the current programs and the plans for the new ones. On each meeting there were suggestions and recommendation for which a fourth workshops was organized with representatives from public institutions, other associations, media, citizens and members of CCI. At the meeting, the three programs were presented with a special emphasis on the changes that were made as a result of these work meetings.
On these meetings once again the new proposals were reviewed, their importance for the local community, their possibility of realization and the necessary funds. The programs include the needs of local communities and institutions, so the work of CCI in the future will be in accordance with the needs of the local communities and citizens. The meeting ended with the support of all the changes, with an agreement with some of the participants for separate meetings and assistance from them in the preparation of new project applications that will be dedicated to the detected problems and needs.
In addition, CCI’s team had intense meetings with citizens in the Pelagonia region in the past few months, checking its recognition and the needs of the local population. The meetings with constituents and citizens were a good basis for preparation of a new strategic plan for the organization. In the process of strategic planning for the organization, the results of the meetings with the constituents and the citizens were used, and at the end, a workshop was organized guided by an expert ending with a specific Strategic Plan of CCI for 2018-2022.
