In the recent days within the project “Empowering minorities and specific groups to promote participatory democracy at community level” supported by ifa / Zivik Federal Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, four meetings for councilors and media were held in Bitola, Resen, Shtip and Veles. These meetings were attended by councilors and media representatives, as well as representatives of municipal administration and civil society organizations. In fact, these meetings discussed the role of councilors in conveying information to citizens, but also the role of the media in conveying information. The participants particularly discussed the challenges that the councilors face in working with the media and informing the public.
In all of the municipalities there was willingness for cooperation between the councilors and the media.
