Within the project “Joint Forces for Common Interests” financed by the European Union and implemented by the organizations COSV, CCI and ANTIKO, 14 small grants for inter-community trust building have been given in the targeted municipalities. There were two calls for these small grants within the period of 08.02.2017 – 12.02.2018 published on the website from the project, websites from the partners and social media.
The 14 projects that emerged from these small grants have targeted various priorities such as culture, education, sport, institutional development and accountability, youth development, ethnic problems, gender equality, tourism, environmental protection, rural development and more, while working with various target groups such as students and youth as general, teachers, cultural workers, tourists and tourism workers, Local self-government, public administration and officials, business sector, various ethnic groups, women, sportsmen, CSOs and more.
To contribute to the successfulness of these projects there were also 2 trainings for administration and management held aiming at increasing the capacities of the small organizations beneficiaries in administration, financial management and promotion and communication of the projects.
These small grants turned out to be very impactful with successful implementation of the projects. The small CSOs, some of them for the first time, have meet with the challenge of development and implementation of a project. This challenge has impacted their capacities for implementation of projects. After the end of this action, the targeted CSOs were strengthened mainly in elaborating long term organizational planning.
