These days, the first workshop, out of four planned, was held in the premises of the Municipality of Devoll, Albania, for the development of a cross-border action plan for the management of the online system and treatment plants of the municipalities of Resen and Devoll.
The workshop was attended by representatives from the municipalities of Resen and Devoll and the utility companies in these municipalities who, with the help of experts, analyzed the current state of the waters, the existing legislation in both countries and determined the possibilities for further cross-border cooperation.
In the future, three more joint workshops of the teams from the municipalities of Resen and Devoll will be held, during which the cross-border action plan will be created, which will then be implemented together, and will be submitted to the competent institutions in both countries.
This workshop was realized within the project "Prevention of risks for sustainable practices environmental for agro producers - PRESPA" which is financed by the European Union from the program for cross-border cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania, and is implemented by the Center for Civil initiative from Prilep, Municipality of Resen, Organization for Management of Destinations from Korče and Municipality of Devoll.
