The Center for Civic Initiative, as of the beginning of 2019 is realizing the project “Actions against Gender Based Violence in Roma and other disadvantaged communities” in the municipalities of Prilep and Dolneni, as a continuation of the project “Action against Gender Based Violence in rural areas of Dolneni” financed by the German Embassy in Skopje.
With the aim for easier access to help and re-socialization in the communities, within this project is functioning a center for free psychological and legal support for victims of Gender based and Domestic violence and also for people who have finished a prison sentence.
For the realization of this project the CCI will co-operate with the Intermunicipal Center for Social Work in Prilep, the Multi Sector Professional Team that works with Domestic Violence, members from the Probation Services in Prilep, the local self-government and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
