Center for Civic Initiative within its framework of activities is working on implementation of the project “Empowering minorities and specific groups for promoting participatory democracy at the community level”, supported by ifa/Zivik program Federal office of the Republic of Germany.
Within this project, this week there were 3 consultative forums held with citizens from the Municipality of Prilep, Krushevo and Dolneni. The moderator of the forums was Mr. Goran Mihajlovski from “Sakam da kazam” where he presented some international, national and local best practices for consultation with the citizens by the municipalities and the political parties. Some examples of improvement of the inter-sector cooperation (youth, local self-government, media, political parties). There was a big interest from the citizens and productive discussions for possible cooperation between the citizens and the institutions.
