Together for prevention against Gender Based Violence

A conference “Together for prevention against Gender Based Violence” was held on December 20th at the Hotel Continental in Skopje. This conference is in fact the final activity of the project “Actions against Gender Based Violence in Roma and other disadvantaged communities” funded by the German Embassy in Skopje.

A conference “Together for prevention against Gender Based Violence” was held on December 20th at the Hotel Continental in Skopje. This conference is in fact the final activity of the project “Actions against Gender Based Violence in Roma and other disadvantaged communities” funded by the German Embassy in Skopje.

There were more than sixty participants from all over our country, representatives from various sectors such as government, municipalities, civic society, international organizations and media. At this meeting the results achieved by this project in the past year were presented and then there was a discussion about the challenges of Gender Based Violence.

На оваа конференција присуствуваше и Katrin FrühinsfeldПрв Секретар Германска Амбасада Скопје, која ја поздрави конференцијата и се обрати до присутните.

Свои обраќања на настанот имаа мр Елена Грозданова, Државен советник за еднакви можности од Министерство за труд и социјална политика, Дејан ТошескиДиректор на Меѓуопштински центар за социјална работа во Прилеп, Ајша Муаремоскапретставник од Комисијата за еднакви можности – Општина Долнени, координаторот на проектот и експертите кои работеле со жртвитево рамките на проектот.

The conference brought transfer of experience between the participants, discussion about certain situations and problems with gender based violence in all spheres of life and of course It ended with recommendations to continue the work in the field of supporting victims of gender based violence, but also to work on prevention of gender based violence in the area of work with youth, campaigns, etc.
